Aidlink is working in partnership with Girl Child Network to protect and promote the rights of some of Africa’s most marginalised communities in Northern Kenya. Aidlink for Turkana is a campaign spearheaded by Aidlink together with Girl Child Network to raise funds to support eight primary schools in Turkana to increase enrollment, retention and transition of children, especially girls from marginalized communities to higher levels of education. The campaign will also promote the creation of a child friendly environment by improving water and sanitation facilities. We work with schools’ boards of management, administrations and parents associations to advocate for development and implementation of gender responsive development policies for schools improvement.
